Photo Guide
- Clear and of good quality
- Be taken against a plain background (A white/plain wall)
- Natural lighting is best, avoid the use of flash
- Avoid clutter/distractions in the background
- Keep hands away from face (we want to see your features)
- Keep hair away from face
- No hair bow/accessories
- No makeup or face paints
- No sunglasses
- Keep your outfits clean and simple (No logos, no costumes)
- No naked pictures please
- No hats
- Take pictures at eye level (come to the level of your subject)
- For babies: No dummies or food in face (as cute as they look, they are sadly not fit for purpose)
- No other people in picture (for small babies, lay them on a white sheet)
- No filters/heavy editing
- Once successfully accepted, children over the age of 4 are required to provide professional pictures, we do not mind where you have this done however, if you’d prefer, we work with an amazing photographer who provides amazing photographs for children on our books at a discounted price – it is not compulsory to go with our photographer!
